Question: How many experiments have you done in your career?

Not very many! The last time I did any experimental physics was during the 2nd year of my Physics degree. I’m a theoretical physicist-I do calculations (either with pen and paper or using a computer), either making predictions for the results of new experiments or trying to understand what past experiments have seen.

Dark matter detection experiments are often located in mines deep underground. I have been allowed to visit them, but had to promise that I wouldn’t touch (and break…) anything!
