OK.. I will make it less wordy so going to put the list in numbers in no particular order just what pops into my head first 🙂
1. The Hong Kong Eye hospital -helped with the admin stuff at the reception and got to see some cool cataract removal operations!! saw about 7 or 8!!
2. Milton Keynes General Hospital -just helped with coffee and tea and at the tills.
3. Sust! – A local fair trade shop in Milton Keynes
4. Crocus – a local vegetarian place.. won an award for the best cafe/small restaurant thing? (can’t remember correctly) in the east midlands! This place is run by volunteers for the Lenton, Nottingham community.
5 After school Science club – to go round some less privileged schools in Nottingham and doing mini experiments with the kids! Great fun… gets a bit messy but it’s great to see them having fun with science!
6 Camp America – spent two months in a special needs camp in Iowa (sort of middle of the US, the state is near Chicago). I was responsible for the campers at all times during their stay there – so when they take their medications to making sure they are sleeping at night. After camp – went traveling around the west coast of america! great fun!
7. Caritas Hospital Hong Kong – was looking after a group of children that were overweight only for one week.
8. The local community/Uni project – to help remove all the rubbish in the local area so we went round with big bin bags getting rid off rubbish on the street and people’s front gardens – at the end of that day we have managed about over 3 tonnes- there were 3/4 group of us!
9. The tanzania book project – to raise enough money and collect unwanted books from UK schools and get them shipped over to the schools in tanzania. Before the project – there was only one book in one of the school’s library. Unfortunately I was not lucky enough to go (only 6 people at a time) so I didn’t get to see it through. But just helped raise money!
I think this is it- this is all I can remember at the moment 😛
