Hi Dior! That’s a really tough question for me, but I have to say that one of my favourite places that I’ve been crayfishing is Loch Croispol, which is riiiiiiight up in the very north of Scotland! It’s the furthest north I’ve ever been in this country, and looks totally different to anywhere I’ve ever been. Loch Croispol is a big lake, with turquoise blue water, that sits in a basin of limestone. It’s beautiful! Inside the loch is a species of crayfish called the ‘white-clawed crayfish’, which is not native to Scotland but occurs naturally in England, Wales and other parts of Europe. We don’t know how it came to arrive in Loch Croispol but there’s a good healthy population there.

Also, the nearest village to Loch Croispol is a place called Durness, which is where John Lennon from The Beatles used to go on his holidays. I LOVE The Beatles so I was very excited to go there!

If you ever get the chance to go up north to the Highlands of Scotland, you must go! It’s an amazing place 🙂
