      Hi loppylolly

We certainly could – one of the things I am interested in studying is animal group behaviour – and this includes human crowds (humans are animals after all!)

We have done some experiments with school students and the general public and I have some of the details on my website: http://privatewww.essex.ac.uk/~ecodling/EACresearch_groupshumancrowds.htm

One of the problems with doing this experiment is that we need large groups of people to volunteer to take part! I plan to do some more experiments at Essex with local school children if I win the I’m a Scientist prize, but we are always looking for other people to take part as well!

I am sure we could do some similar experiments at your school if you can get your classmates interested and if your teacher wants to invite me along!
      🙂
