probably much the same as now really! I enjoy my work, I like designing and making things, and I enjoy the hobbies I do outside of work too!

I would like to earn a bit more money, but I think most people would 😉

Haha, this is a very typical question for a job interview 🙂

Well I guess I would like to have one or two kids, live in Newcastle, still enjoy my job, have a little research group with one or to PhD students and a Postdoc, and maybe a house somewhere in the sticks.

I am coming to the end of my PhD and I’m applying for postdoctoral jobs at the moment. ‘Postdocs’ are qualified scientific researchers who have PhDs. So hopefully I will have a postdoc job somewhere.

I am writing a paper at the moment. Papers report our most important results. Hopefully in the next five years I will write some more!

Most certainly still doing research. Either at a university or for a energy company.

I really like teaching so I hope to stay within university research so I can become a Lecturer of Geophysics!

In all honesty, I’m not sure :S!
I’m coming to the end of my PhD (I’ll be finished in about a year), so I’ve really got to start thinking about it quite seriously!
I enjoy teaching geology so I think I’d like to try for teaching positions at Universities and I really enjoy research too, so hopefully I can get a position that allows me to do both!
