This is a very good question!

also remember we’re still *in* the 21st century and there is a lot of time for great things to be invented!

I think that fusion power, while still in its infancy, is the greatest invention of this century, it has the potential to provide almost unlimited, clean energy and will be the thing that finally frees us from fossil fuels!

It’s technically not an invention from the 21st Century, but I’m going to say the Internet. It’s been around for a while now but in the early 2000s it really took off big time. People are constantly finding new ways to use it in creative and productive ways. It’s pretty amazing to see what people are capable of when the Internet allows them to communicate so easily. Without the Internet I’m a Scientist wouldn’t be able to happen!

I think a really cool invention is the Large Hydron Collider. It is the instrument that allowed the Higgs Boson particle to be discovered only a few months ago. Just is’t size is incredible. What I like most about it is how many scientist from so many different countries collaborate together in research at the Collider.
