• Question: is there electricity running under neath the surface of the earth and how far underneath the crust?

      there are certainly electric currents being generated in the core, all you need to do this is a magnet (the magnetic field of the earth) and a moving conductor (the liquid iron outer core)

      I am not sure if there are other currents running underneath the surface of the earth, but I doubt it as many of the minerals are not conductive in the same way as iron
