• Question: Why do we have these sorts of tectonic hazards? Isn't there a way to stop it all at once?

      Hi iqramahmood,
      We get earthquakes because tectonic plates are moving around against each other. Where they move against each other, along fault lines, we get earthquakes. The forces involved are so powerful, there’s little we can do to stop an earthquake from happening.
