Question: what peice of evidence is most usefull in your investigation

The most useful evidence in our experiments is the rock itself, being able to see how it looks after and experiment compared to before an experiment is the most important along with looking at the chemistry of the water and how that changes over time. In reality when we carry out carbon dioxide storage on a big scale we wont be able to dig up the rock and have a look at it as that is deep underground but we may be able to look at water the flows through it and around it and see how the chemistry has changed to give us an idea of what could be happening in side.
We will also be able to see where the carbon dioxide is underground using sesmic monitoring (bouncing soundwaves into the ground and seeing what is sent back) This will give us a good idea what is happening underground too although this sort of thing is not something we need to do in the lab.
