      228dysb45,
I’m going to answer this question twice to cover two options:
      1) I started experimenting really young when I used to build things with lego and test these massive lego building through destruction tests.

      2) If by experimenting, you mean my science career. I started serious sciencey experiments at University when I was given the chance to work in a lab with all this awesome expensive equipment, my goal was to just play around and try and understand what the bits all do. It was quite nerve racking as science equipment is VERY expensive and I thought i’d break it (fortunately I didn’t) And when i built my first laser it gave me a sense of achievement to be able to look at it and thing,”I built that and it shoots high power light out”

Hope that sort of answers your question in a roundabout way.
