Most stars are too far away and aren’t bright enough for us to see during the day. However, around 1000 years ago there was a star which was seen in the daytime. We now know that it was a close enough star which exploded (called a supernova) making it much brighter and possible to see in the day time!
During sunrise/sunset you can often see some planets though (as they usually appear brighter than other stars because they are much closer).
