• Question: whats the best scientific acheivement you have ever achieved?

      Hard question, I feel like I haven’t done anything impressive yet.

      Probably when I published my first scientific paper. Scientists write up their lab reports, they get reviewed by other scientists (who try to find all the mistakes), and then eventually it gets published online/in magazines read by other scientists. It’s quite a long process, but when you’re done, you realise you’ve done some science and other people think it’s alright too.

      That scientific paper was on how to build a machine that slows down particles and bashes them into other particles and watches to see what comes out. We were trying to understand the process, because the same thing happens in space with comets (I’ve changed which area of science I work on a few times).

      Yes I agree with Stuart – it felt amazing to publish my first paper (for me this was just last year!). It was also pretty amazing when another scientist referenced my work. 😀
