• Question: Roughly at this rate of advancement, how long would it take for us to reach Mars?

      I dont think I can give you an accurate answer to this, I will ask my Dad later though because he is an astronomer. Unmanned shuttles have already reached mars and have taken recordings on the surface. I would have thought that space programs need to make sure they have all of the information they need about Mars so they can send people there safely. It would also take about 3 years for a manned shuttle to travel there.

      Well I’m not a physicist but they are doing an experiment at the moment in Russia, where the Astronauts are living in a pretend spaceship. This is to see if they can cope with living together in such a small space for the time it would take to get to Mars so maybe we are getting close.
