      Its really difficult to define the word drug, because it depends on the many different uses of the word see http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=define:drug for just a few examples.

      I don’t think that coffee is a drug, though the active ingredient (caffeine) can be used as a drug – in the sense that it has a therapeutic purpose (keeping you alert).
