      Dedoid,

      I didnt cost me anything, as the studentship is funded by the British Biological Research Council (the BBSRC), so technically it’s funded by taxpayers. This council, and the Medical Resarch Council (MRC) will help out students by offering funded places, but they’re very competitve.
