To start, most animals blink to clean the eye and protect it from irritants. Most animals blink, except for those without eye lids like snakes or fish. Hamsters are special because they blink one eye at a time, so this is basically winking.
I don’t think Mike is a hamster and definitely has eyelids, but as he only has one eye, it would be very hard to say whether he’s blinking or winking at any particular time. Perhaps he does both?
