Long chains of amino acids are what we called proteins! Proteins are everywhere in nature, including in hair, they are the main component of your muscle and they also make up all the enzymes that are found in nature! There are 20 naturally occurring amino acids, but proteins can be millions of amino acids long so the possible combinations really are endless!

Long chains of amino acids are found in proteins/enzymes as Sebastian has shared. We have about 40,000 proteins in our bodies that carry out all sorts of jobs, from telling cells to die, to pumping small molecules like glucose in and out of cells.
