We grow bugs, following necessary safety procedures in our microbiology lab, to study effects of drugs on their growth, survival strategies and also to extract DNAs, RNAs, Proteins, Carbohydrates, Lipids from the bugs to study their role in causing infectious diseases.

In our lab we grow them in order to get large quantities of the drugs they produce! We also grow them to see if they are resistant or susceptible to a particular drug!
