Wow! What a cheery question?!?!?! Well the repercussion would be certain death to everyone if we were involved in a mass extinction event!!!! However, we could use and study that super bacteria to develop an antidote/super antibiotic. Or maybe develop another way of killing the super bacteria like using a virus to kill it. And then save the world from extinction?!?! 🙂

The end of the world! But there are pretty tight controls on the use of genetic engineering so hopefully it would never happen.
