Question: why does people think that on the end of a rainbow there is a suprise

It would be great wouldn’t it, if we can actually find a pot of gold at the end of it. Rainbows are in fact circular but you cannot see that from the ground, so there is actually no end to them. Like many things in life, people were not able to explain where rainbows come from for a certain amount of time, just like people thought the Earth was flat. Because they can’t explain things they come up with stories and fairy tales to satisfy their curiosity. This is certainly one of them!
