• Question: Why does it take a while for your body to register that you have eaten enough, but you know almost immediately when you have drunk enough water.???

      My guess would be because food needs to get broken down in the stomach first while water passes to the small intestine were it will get absorbed.

      You’re sense of being ‘full’ is called satiety and is linked to the hypothalamus in the human brain. So it could be that it takes time for the message from the stomach to be sent to the hypothalamus and for the brain to process it.

      Also, people actually don’t drink enough water because they wait until they feel thirsty. If you feel thirsty then you are already dehydrated! Its like if you only ever ate after you start to get hunger pains.
