• Question: what would happen if our solar system was separated from our galaxy

      Its very difficult to say as we don’t fully understand all the influences that the galaxy has on us at the moment and it depends on where we end up.

      We could be subjected to more gamma-radiation or uv-radiation, boiling our atmosphere. The change in gravity could drastically change our orbit, so we get closer the sun and hotter or further away and colder. Or we could be knocked out of orbit completely and orbit Jupiter or just float around among the stars. Who knows -That’s this is an amazing question!
