• Question: Which came first the chicken or the egg?

      I’d go for the egg, because it’s a lot simpler than the chicken. Life started from single celled species so it makes sense to me that the least complicated things came first.

      The egg….340 million years ago. The Chicken was domesticated from jungle fowl that did not evolve until a few million years ago. So, chicken comes in as a very late 2nd place.

      Definitely the egg. Evolution will have changed things so that the first chicken was a genetic mutation of a previous species.
