What a gloomy question! I think life will go first. When the sun dies it’ll start to expand and the earth will get too hot for life to survive on earth. The rocks will stick around for a lot longer before they melt.

I think that life will go first. One of the tasks of the curiosity rover exploring mars at the moment is to look for evidence of life. There is already some evidence that there was once water on mars so this suggests that conditions on mars have changed a lot. The same is likely to happen to earth one day as the solar system and Sun in particular age.

Life will definitely become extinct first. The sun is expanding and getting brighter, eventually conditions on Earth will be unsuitable for life. It’s possible that the expanding sun will eventually engulf the sun but life will be gone by that point.
