I don’t think we can prevent aging particularly of our skin as it is continuously exposed to the sun. If we manage to solve some illnesses, unfortunately we will come across others just because as we get older, the processes that start to happen in our bodies start to go a bit wrong every now and then. Its probably a good thing that we can’t become immortal though as can you imagine how crowded the earth would get?

We are living for longer and longer but eventually our cells will die and our organs will stop working. It would be possible to grow new organs and replace them but once you’ve replaced your brain, are you still you?

No. Even if we can prolong our lives, as we get older things like cancer become more common and we would encounter other problems. Also, if nobody died and we continued to reproduce, we would run out of food and water for everyone and people would starve to death.
