In my picture I am actually at a friends wedding, not working a bar! I used to volunteer at a staff bar at the Institute of Cancer Research during my PhD. It was a great place for scientists to meet at the end of the week and talk about their experiments over a cold drink. Many new collaborations and experiments resulted from people getting together there who might not normally have spoke to each other at work!
