temperature can be measured in degrees Kelvin, with zero the lowest possible temperature ~-273 degrees centigrade. magnitude of single degree is same as for centigrade
-273 degrees is the theorized temperature that atoms (gas) would lose all of their energy and seas to move, though before they reach that temperature they change states, and this has never been officially achieved. -273 degrees is known as Absolute Zero.
