I think this is a hard question to answer… there are things called league tables which rate schools on the exam results they get etc. Although I personally wouldn’t worry about things like that too much. I think most schools are brilliant and I think it is more important to try and get as much from your teachers as possible. Remember even the best teacher can’t make you ‘smart’… they are only there to guide you through learning. The hard part comes from you and that is putting in the effort to learn what they give you. Sometimes people may lie to you (especially around exam time) and say they have done no homework or revision and that they still get good marks…but this is definitely NOT how it works. I wouldn’t be doing a PhD now if I didn’t put hours of studying in. Also teachers love it when students are enthusiastic… so never stop asking questions!
