• Question: why are there different planets

      That is actually a very good question – I am not sure. I know that the solar system was formed from a giant disk of dust called an accretion disk. Over millions of years, particles in this disk clumped together to form the sun and the planets. I am not sure why exactly the different planets formed as they did – this could be something for you to look into further!
