You have asked a very good question. Happy to know that you are very keen on your future studies too. A neurologist is a medical doctor who specializes in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating diseases that affect the nervous system. The best way to be a neurologist is go join for medicine (be a doctor). You will have different options once you have completed or while doing the course to specialise in different areas of clinical research. You can opt for Neurology at that stage, but who knows you could be a good Paediatricians or a cancer specialist ? You would be able to make that right decision during your studies. all the best wishes.
Hello Ellie! Binuraj’s answer is good advice! If you decide that you don’t want to go down the route of being a medical doctor but you are still interested in the human brain and learning more about how they work you could go into Neuroscience. Neuroscientists are the researchers that do studies to learn about the brain to give Neurologists the knowledge they need to do their jobs.
