I have very limited knowledge about clinical science and especially about neurology. Neurologists are specialist medics who can treat many issues that affect the central and peripheral nervous systems that include diseases like stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer disease, Parkinson disease, brain tumors etc etc. These are long term illness that need special care for patients. As such this is one those areas where a medic can really excel and contribute a lot to the society.
Neurology seems a very complex field of study, the brain is a very interesting organ! I remember you said that was a career you wanted to follow and I think that is a great ambition! 🙂 I had friends who studied Neuroscience at university, I think they were more interested in doing the research than handling patients.
