This is a great question! When you put a tea bag into water, tea dissolves into the water and diffuses out of the bag. As it is a different colour, you can see the tea diffusing across the water. When the water is cold, this is a very slow process, as the water molecules aren’t moving much. When the water is hot, the water has more energy, so the water molecules move around more. This means that diffusion happens much faster!
