I used to work in a charity store when I was younger. I’ve also done several sponsored events – I’ve done sponsored runs and even a sponsored rock climb!
Yes! I’ve volunteered at an Eating Disorders charity as a ‘support group’ facilitator. It was my job to make sure that people felt safe and supported in the group. I loved it!
Yes a fair bit. I have raised money for several children’s charities. I am passionate about helping people experiencing homelessness and poverty, so I have run half marathons and slept outside for homelessness charities and served food at soup kitchens. It’s so important to give back to your community. In fact my most recent work is on the social and personal benefits of community volunteering!
