In my experience, it’s great that companies are becoming more aware of dementia! However, there’s more to be done as it’s not enough to just be aware of something. Instead, employees need to know how to interact with a person with dementia and companies need to become more dementia-friendly.
Yes, and I think it is important given that it could affect us or our loved ones. The disease progression is heart-breaking. Psychologists have done lots of great work around memory cues and connection (music, places, sharing stories, smells and personal items) which can lead to positive outcomes.
