• Question: I'm curious to know, what kind of environment does zink oxide need to grow? 9and whats your favourite movie?)

Firstly you need “seeds” of zinc oxide, small crystals of Zinc Oxide. Then you place it into a jar full of water with zinc nitrate and hexamethyl tetraamine (HMT) dissolved into it. The HMT grabs hold of the zinc atoms and allows them to react with the zinc oxide and the water in the solution to add on to the crystal. Over time the zinc nitrate is used up as the rods grow longer. The water is heated to 90 degree centigrade to make the process a bit faster,

I’m not sure I have one favourite, I enjoy most science fiction films, so I’m quite a big fan of Star Wars and superhero films. I also enjoy the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films. My favourite of this year so far is the Lego movie.
