• Question: How did you get to be on 'I'm a scientist', were you chosen or did you sign up?

      Both – we signed up and then they choose from the scientists who’ve signed up and fit them to the zones!

      Hi Kirsty,
      I signed up in the first instance then I guess I was chosen from all the people that signed up…I’m afraid I don’t know what the selection process is. Perhaps you could ask the IASGMOOH organisers about that?

      The outreach team sent me a link suggesting I sign up for this zone given the work I’d been doing and knowing how much I enjoy talking science to anyone who will listen, then after submitting my application the IAS team picked me from the applications.

      I signed up and then had to wait to be chosen… It took 12 months

    Hey! Loads of scientists signed up to take part, and we chose Roy, Rowena, Nicola, Kieren, and Kate to be in the Colour Zone because we thought they were the best five scientists who do work using colour chemistry! We also asked some of the students who’ve done I’m a Scientist before to help us rate the scientists who’d signed up, so we’d know which ones you’d like to ask questions to!
