• Question: Hi Kieren, how will you battle with the problem of ruining/ overcrowding our countrysides by the windfarm project, and how will you combat this? Also, what research have you done to conclude that your project will surpass that of previous works? Thanks very much.

I personally don’t think it is ruining the countryside to have occasional wind farms, I can see you point if we were to put them everywhere, but if we did that then each of them wouldn’t make as much energy, so we wouldn’t want to do that in the first place. To combat it we can put them out to sea where no one has to see them, or we can persuade people that they need to put up with them otherwise we will start having power cuts. We can also use other forms of energy, hence my research in solar power to complement the wind power. My work will surpass other research in a very minor way, unfortunately I doubt I will manage to find an amazing scientific discovery but my work will allow the next person to make another small discovery until eventually we all know a bit more about the material.
