Yes – I even gave up my viola lessons because they were at the same time as science and I didn’t want to miss anything. (Ok I admit the teacher was quite cute too :P) I also liked it because the teachers we had allowed me to investigate things in my own time after school and learn for myself.
Yes, but not all science all of the time. Chemistry was my favourite. My friend and I would get the work done as quickly as possible and then complain until we got more. We started doing A level work in GCSE because she wanted to keep us quiet. I remember discovering the predictive power of the periodic table, how you can look at it and guess all kinds of properties and behaviours of elements from it. That felt like a very powerful tool. Out of school we used to make universal indicator, do curdling reactions and set off coke bombs by shaking them up and adding mints.
I didn’t like human biology. I remember they used to keep giving us organs. We discovered that if you squeezed kidneys they shot out of your hand and across the room and that was the highlight of human biology for me. The rest of the time it just felt like I was learning a vocabulary list!
Yes I did – I liked all the sciences – I really enjoyed human biology, but was never really a fan of learning about plants and ecology! I preferred Chemistry and Physics lessons though because there were more hands-on experiments
