  Yes.. before I started working on luminescent compounds I worked in a group that looked at the interactions of high energy light that you may find in the upper atmosphere, with very small molecules such as methane. This was quite interesting as it helps us to understand how these gases in the atmosphere may react in the upper atmosphere
