We heat them up to around 60 – 70 C in a liquid called a solvent, in something like a pan on top of an oven. Acetone or nail polish remover is a solvent! We use different solvents in a controlled environment. Then we get liquid plastics. These can glow different colours. We can use anything to print them, sometimes we print them using ink jet printers and just empty the ink cartridges and fill them with our liquid plastic solutions. Then we can print the designs from our computer. sometimes we just drop little drops of our mixtures on to a piece of glass or plastic and spin the plastic really fast until the mixture dries out into a cool structure.
