• Question: are your predictions always right ?

      Most definitely not! To be a scientist doing experiments you have to have a weird outlook that is on the one hand very positive -“Let’s go for it, I’m pretty sure this will work out as I can’t see any other explanation” – and on the other hand very realisistic – “well, I did only say it would ‘probably’ work”

      I wish they were – then I could win the lottery! 😉 Like Michael said, the best that we can do as scientists is come up with a prediction that we think is the best, test that prediction and if it’s right then that’s great but if it’s wrong then we don’t take it to heart and we try to find a new explanation.
