Not only will little island nations be severely affected, but there are key areas with very high populations that will be badly affected – places like Vietnam, Bangladesh and the Netherlands where lots and lots of people might lose their home or cities
Places with low lying land. Some examples would be Bangladesh, islands and atoll communities in the Pacific, and low lying areas in the UK (e.g. the Somerset Levels), China and Ecuador.
Small Island countries in the Pacific and Indian Oceans will become the first to be impacted. But the coastal zones of many larger nations may change considerable with sea level rise. In fact by the time you have grandchildren big parts of the UK maybe under water if warming continues – take a boat to work rather than the car – London might the Venice of the North
Lots of great answers from the other scientists. I would add – even though some countries will be affected directly less, they will be affected more because they may have to make room for people to move to them as they have to leave their own countries which can no longer be lived on. No one will escape the impact of rising sea levels. It will affect everyone
