      Climate change can increase the amount of food produced for some crops, and allow us to grow plants in the UK that were previously damaged by the cold. Sparkling white wine produced in the English Midlands is now of the quality of that previously produced in the Champagne area of France.

      This has been a really common questions- basically are there any positive effects of climate change. As Chris has said, in some small areas there are positive effects of climate change, like being able to grow more or different crops in certain places. However, the overall effects of climate change on the Earth are negative, with the negative effects outweighing any positive ones! This means even though there are some positive effects we should definitely still be doing things to combat or counteract climate change.
