      Climate change is the process by which anything can cause changes to the climate of the Earth- you’re right in thinking this can be a natural process (like having Ice Ages) or it can be caused by humans. The current climate change trend is definitely caused by humans. There is lots of evidence linking certain patterns from humans (like burning fossils fuels starting in the industrial revolution) with the current climate changes. By comparing this patterns and seeing the climate changes happening so quickly, we know that humans are definitely causing the current global warming.

      Thousands of years ago most of the climate change was by natural processes… mostly due to changes in the light coming from the sun, (which many think caused the last ice age) and changes in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere due to things like volcanoes.
      Unfortunately the amount of greenhouse gases we have seen and the rate of change (the amount the temperatures change per year) is at a speed that we’ve never seen before and is absolutely because of human activity
