      I use science to look at
      -how fertile the soil is that a farmer grows his food crops upon. This involves soil chemistry and soil physics
      – measuring rainfall and temperature to understand if they are changing over time
      – recently I have started to work with the European Space Agency and their Sentinel programme to see if we can use satellite imagery to help govts observe change in the agricultural ecosystem and plan better

      am afraid it needs maths-we cannot escape it
