Yes, I’m afraid it is a big problem, practically and socially and psychologically. I think its the biggest social and psychological issue that we have to face in the world today.
The more we look at it the bigger the problem gets. It affects all sort of things from the food we grow, to the houses we build, to the amount of help poorer or Island countries need, to animals and their habitats!
The good news is that the science is getting better… more than 97 out 100 scientists all agree that climate change is real and made worse by people. Now that we understand the science better we can understand the solutions!
Climate change will impact on me, you and your children to come as we seek new sources of energy to replace coal and petrol, better use of the water we have – If you saw the news recently Cape Town is the first major city to run out of water – more to follow
Yes, it is 🙁 . As the others have said, it is a big problem. But, by studying climate in the past during times when the Earth was much warmer or equivalent to today, and understanding how the Earth responded, we can understand how the Earth will react now, and figure out how best to cope 🙂
Yes! As you can read from the other researchers who have answered this question, climate change is definitely a big problem. This can make is overwhelming sometimes to work out what to do about it. But we definitely need to do something to try and decrease the effects that climate change is having on the Earth.
This is why I’m doing research into climate change so we can try and predict how the climate changes will affect our planet, and then see if we can work out what to do about it.
