Winning this competition will help me show others that I can communicate science. This is most important. It may help me sell myself when I ask to speak at events.

I think if I win it would definitely help the work I do in science communication (teaching science and research to other people). I’d be able to use the money towards a new project with Birmingham Museums which will help me learn new things as well.

Also, even if I don’t win, its really fun being part of this I’m a Scientist event, and its a good way to practice explaining my science research to other people!

If I wind it will really help boost my confidence and help me talk to more school kids about science. This will help my career because if i can talk to you guys here I can talk to anyone!

If I win it means that I have been able to communicate effectively with you all, and improve my ability to communicate my work to others

To be honest although it would be lovely to win, it would make more of a difference to the children I work with than to me. Of course it would be great for me to see this, but the greater impact would be for them
