I would take: A radio (so that I could try and communicate with people and be rescued!), a solar charger (to make sure that the radio didn’t run out of battery), a really good book and some chocolate.

Interesting. Shelter (a tent), Food (something nutritious, but dried food), a devise to harvest water from condensation or rain.
I’d take a solar powered, or wind-up, battery charger for my mobile phone – and some good ear phones to listen to my favourite music.

I once saw an episode of myth busters where they were stranded on a desert island with nothing but an unlimited supply of Duct Tape. They managed to built: a solar still (which evaporates sea water and cools it to make fresh water); a boat, a fishing rope, a shelter and a trap for catching live animals all with nothing but Duct Tape! I think I would probably want something a bit more useful like a wind up radio and some sharp tools!

A solar powered desalinization plant and seeds so I could get water to drink and grow crops, and a fishing line so I could get my protein
