      In the UK it is really uncommon to have tsunamis. However, the UK has experienced them in the past. Around 6100BC there was a tsunami caused in Scotland caused by a massive underwater landslide (called the Storegga Slide) off the coast of Norway.

      Another one was caused in 1755 by a big earthquake in Lisbon, Portugal (3m tsunami in Cornwall).
