• Question: Does polystyrene dissolve in acetone ?

      Yes, polystyrene will dissolve in acetone! Don’t try this at home without supervision.

      I’m not a materials scientist so I wouldn’t know but I know that it doesn’t dissolve in salt water, and most polystyrene ends up in the sea!

      Yes it does, but its quite and intense reaction – so do not try it!
